Want to Get Motivated For Free?

So, you know what you are supposed to do. You have read who knows how many self-help books, you have watched countless number of YouTube videos. However, none of them are working? Why?

You Must Take Action

No amount of reading, researching, or thinking about whatever it is you are trying to accomplish is going to get it done. In order to accomplish something you must do it. You must take action. It must be something that you want with all of your heart or it isn’t going to work.

You won’t accomplish total peace, enlightenment, or blissfulness in just reading some articles. It takes conscious effort on your part.

So, What is Stopping You From Pursuing Happiness?

Don’t have enough time? Do you have children distracting you? Feel like you need to do something else first before you can get to meditating, work on manifesting the things you desire, or you just can’t concentrate?

All the excuses you have are the exact reasons you need to do what you know you need to do.

So what is stopping you from going into action?

The Answer? Mostly likely your own MIND!

 

The Very Thing You Want to Fix

The very thing you want to fix is the very thing that is stopping you from fixing it. Your mind = your ego does not want to be told that you are going to control it. It will make you scared, tell yourself this is stupid, you don’t have time for it, I will once I do this that and the other, throw every negative thing your way, distract, and the list goes on and on.

So, this is a bit of a paradox isn’t it? You have to Control Your Mind, while it is giving you the same old battle but more intensely. So you are reading this post to learn how to get Blissful, will you do it? Or is this another thing you read that is stupid or won’t work? I am asking the one that is perceiving the mind. Not the Mind. Because, that is the one that will break free from the minds control.

The One Time I Will Tell You To Get Mad

What? You thought I wanted you to be blissful, and now I’m tell you to get mad. Yep, get mad at how you are living. Get mad at physically feeling weak and sick. Get Mad at something else having control over you, and that someone is who you call yourself. If a physical person insulted you and treat you like your own mind treats you, you would be angry and you wouldn’t let them would you? However, you allow your own mind treat you that way.

  2. Without the right level of motivation in any enterprise, we are likely to struggle to get results. So, for me, the first thing I look at when working with someone is how motivated the person is.

    I believe most people struggle to stay motivated because they tend to live in the future. Thinking a lot about tomorrow can be demoralizing, and make you miss out on today.

    The books you’ve listed would be awesome companions for individuals struggling to stay motivated.

There is nothing like been happy in life because been happy is the only way you can pass happiness to your love one and see life from positive aspects of life.   4. Love this post! It’s SO true and is something I’ve struggled with for as long as I can remember. I’m my own worst enemy in terms of productivity–or I guess I should say, my mind is! I have all these dreams and aspirations and it’s so easy to talk myself out of them–it might not work, I’ll probably fail, why bother? 

    I love your point about getting mad. I usually try to channel inner peace but I think I need to reflect on your suggestion and really try it. It’s so true that if an outside person was saying the things my brain says to me, I would find them toxic and abusive and cut them out. So why is it okay for my mind to do it?

  6. It is true that the foremost factor to success is taking action. In my view, this is right because over the cause of life and exposures, we may have come across a lot of good lessons but it didn’t work out success for us because we did not take any actions/steps. We can always do anything if only we have muster up our Will power to achieve it. Thank you for this motivating article.

  7. Hi, your articles are always thought-provoking. When it comes to taking action or getting what is paramount done, we often find ourselves procrastinating. I quite agree with you that for one to accomplish something, he must take action.

    To me, I can say that at times our work hinders us from pursuing happiness. Take for instance someone working 9am to 5pm, you find out that there wont be much time for him to engage in other activities or accomplish some certain desire like taking his family to that dream vacation tour etc, excerpt he happen to be on leave.

    However, I believe that the paramount thing and which you rightly said, is to work on our mind and fix any emotional aspect of it that is stopping us from getting the happiness we desire.

    • We change our mindset then we change our destiny. Therefore attracting abundance and what you want verses drawing negativity. It is much easier to transform our situation the way we want it, when we allow Grace to help. Always love your comments Gracen they are always very deeply thought through as well.

  9. I think we are not motivated because we have this fear of making mistakes and that will mess up with our ego. We are just going to have to accept that being perfect is not real. I have recently saw a youtube video of Mel Robbins about 5 second rule, it blew my mind and she is right. She said that we procrastinate because our brain wants to relax. It is not real it is just a habit. By counting 5 to one you will have to courage and get used to do the things that you are scared of and that will eventually become your habit. 5 4 3 2 1 ACT ON IT!

  10. Thanks for the great content. I agree with your saying about the only thing that stops us from moving forward is not taking action. I used to have this habit where I spend a lot of time watching videos and motivation articles but I never started to do something.

    Only after some time, I realized that I need to start taking action and set small goals so that I can achieve them one at a time. Also, I found your point on getting mad at yourself very interesting. Thank you again for sharing because I have learned a lot from this post.

      Sometimes, we want to move forward in life and instead of walking towards that goal, we get stuck on a treadmill just repeating the same things over and over. One has to focus at what they want to accomplish and hop off the treadmill and run and actually go somewhere. Doesn’t matter where just somewhere other than where they are at.

    I enjoyed reading this post. You are right. The only thing stopping us from achieving anything in life is our lack of action. We can have all the knowledge in the world, but without action the knowledge is worthless.

    Why is it, that though we may have the knowledge, we do not always act on that knowledge, therefore making our lives better?

    • The answer, to why we have the knowledge but don’t always act on it, is not always just one thing. We may put up the blocks ourselves telling ourselves we aren’t worthy or not capable. It could also be we do not pay attention, concentrate, and we are not aware of what we are doing. Sadhguru says most people only spend 1% of their day actually doing things consciously. The rest we do is pretty automatic and we stop and observe what it is we are doing.
