All of these words having different representations depending on who is talking about it rather it is scientists, doctors, religious leaders, spiritual leader, and so much more. They even get confused when talking to each other.

So today we are going to talk about the different meanings of CONSCIOUSNESS

Even the definition in the dictionary is a bit confusing, isn’t it? So I’m going to try to break it down more.

Consciousness In Medicine

In medicine, consciousness is assessed by observing a patient’s arousal and responsiveness, and can be seen as a continuum of states ranging from full alertness and comprehension, through disorientation, delirium, loss of meaningful communication, and finally loss of movement in response to painful stimuli.Issues of practical concern include how the presence of consciousness can be assessed in severely ill, comatose, or anesthetized people, and how to treat conditions in which consciousness is impaired or disrupted.

Collective Consciousness

One way collective consciousness is described is that collective consciousness (sometimes collective conscience or conscious) is a fundamental sociological concept that refers to the set of shared beliefs, ideas, attitudes, and knowledge that are common to a social group or society.

Another more spiritual way of looking at it is that all of us are in a collective consciousness. That everything in our universe is connected through the consciousness.

What is Spiritual Consciousness?

That also can be broken down as well, and it depends on who you ask. I know it is a really confusing subject as just about everyone had a different view of it. Some see it as the soul. Others, see it has an interconnecting spirit. Or, I combination of both an individual consciousness which is part of the grander consciousness.

There’s also levels of consciousness one can get to in their own personal life. Consciousness also has been called awareness, God, creator, I am, and the list goes on and on.

What I would say is consciousness, Is the one perceiving the thoughts, our senses, our emotions, the connection between people, the energy radiating out of every living thing and some non living things, and much more are consciousness. When you ask who is perceiving and “hearing” these thoughts that is who I am. I am consciousness and you are consciousness. Consciousness is who we are.

In Conclusion

In the English language, we sometimes don’t have the right word to translate into what other languages can convey with their words. The words I mentioned at the first of this post are prime examples. Others include, in India, there’re more names for the mind than we have. Actually, they call it by the parts of the mind and if my memory serves me right there’s not even a word for mind itself. My point is, it is difficult enough for us to have a conversation with someone when it is regarding spirituality with even someone we know very well. We might not can even tell if they understand what we are trying to convey. It is even more difficult to cross cultures and languages.

The beauty of it though is we are trying to cross cultures and languages. There are many searching for like conscious persons to spread their love and consciousness to. There are also wonderful spiritual teachers crossing borders and spreading the knowledge in hopes to awaken more people. It truly is a beautiful time to be alive. Until next time be blissfully blessed.
